Boating is attractive entertainment at Kodaikanal and while rowing a boat in the middle of the lake, one can have a totally different perspective of the natural surroundings. Only manually operated boats are permitted with or without a boatman.

  Cycling

The ring road around the lake is an ideal route for the Cyclists. Cycles for all ages are available on hire through out the pathway. This route provides view of Saibaba Ashram, Carlton hotel, boat club, bryant park etc.

  Hiking

To appreciate the quite beauty of Kodai hills., one has to offer shorter hiking trails. For a seasoned hiker, there are many places like vembadi peak, Thalaiyar Falls Forty or eighty mile round. Half-day hikes are provided by the spots namely Mount Perumal, Pig valley, and Doctor's Delight. A day hike can be done to Vembadi peak or Gundar Valley.
